Grounding Plates (Monopolar Energy)
When using monopolar energy, a grounding plate is required. The system includes two versions: a reusable grounding plate and a disposable grounding plate. Regardless of which type is used, a gel should be applied to the plate to maximize skin contact. The plate is plugged into the port that flashes red, which turns white once properly connected.
Monopolar Pencils
The system comes with two monopolar pencils — one autoclavable and reusable, the other disposable. When using monopolar energy, the pencil is plugged into the port on the top left.
Smoke Evacuation
The smoke evacuation tubing connects to the filter as part of setup.
Vessel Sealer and Bipolar Instruments
The system includes a reusable large jaw vessel sealer and micro forceps. Activating the vessel sealer requires the foot pedal, which plugs into the bottom right port and is secured by twisting the collar tight. All bipolar and vessel sealer cables connect to the port on the top right.

If using monopolar energy, you will need to use a grounding plate. Two different versions will arrive with your system. A reusable grounding plate on the right and a disposable grounding plate on the left.
If you’re using any form of grounding plate, it’s important to use some form of gel. Just place it on the grounding plate to give you the best skin to contact as possible. Plug it into the port that is flashing red, which will turn white once it’s plugged in.
You will receive multiple monopolar pencils with your system. One is autoclavable and reusable. The other is disposable. When using monopolar, plug in your monopolar pencil into the port on the top left.
You’ll then want to plug in the smoke evacuation tubing onto the filter. You’ll receive a reusable large jaw vessel sealer and micro forceps. When using the vessel sealer, you will need to use the foot pedal to activate the energy.
Plug in the foot pedal on the bottom right port. Twisting the collar to secure it tightly. All of your bipolar and vessel sealer cables will plug into the port located on the top right.
