Note that all small sizes of both the Alexis and the Alexis O Rigid come with this string to be left on the outside of the incision for easy removal. As you can see, this top ring is flexible. That is so it can conform to the anatomy. This bottom ring is what goes inside your incision. Simply bend, insert, and let go inside the abdominal cavity. Next, fold this top ring in one side at a time. This can be used in procedures such as splenectomies, foreign body removal, and spays. Stop when you have your desired exposure. This is the Alexis O Rigid Wound Protector Retractor from Applied Medical. It comes in sizes small to extra extra large. This is size large. As you can see, this top ring is rigid.
